My Sotsugyou Album ~ Doukyuusei Sotsugyousei Official Fan Book arrived 2 days ago! HAPPY!!! ECSTATIC!! AAAHHH!!! SO HAPPY!!!!!! snapped some pictures but not much. if you wanna see more, BUY THE BOOK!

i was quite lucky to be able to pre order the book few weeks before it was released! 8,D so happy. won't be doing any detailed review tho coz i suck at doing those stuff *cough* will put some points for each pictures maybe. SO ON WITH THE PICTURES!

the cover is LOVELY! i love the silver shiny text on the binding & cover so much! this artbook look extremely elegant in my p.o.v. aahh kusakabe & sajou!! need to remind myself to wrap this book! ... and all of my other books OTL

those who pre ordered & get the early copy will receive a special sticker which looks like paper doll of kusakabe & sajou! aaaahhhh will never use this EVER! too precious!

nakamura sensei even included kusakabe & sajou's age... thingy (whatever you call that). to be able to see sajou & kusakabe when they were still kids made me feel like a pedophile 8,D SO CUTE AARRGGHHH!!!!!!

this book also includes a lot of nakamura sensei's working process!!! ranging from coloring her artworks with watercolor, editing with photoshop, and the way she do her manga page! from story development all the way to her inking process!!

AAHHHH GODLY SKILLS!!! 8,D

this book also includes few pages of the things she have, her work station etc etc 8,D

and when i thought things can't get any better than that, it apparently can!!!!! a few pages of full colored comic pages of kusakabe & sajou!!! AUUGGHH it was too sweet!!! i swear my teeth were aching the entire time i was staring at it!

i am almost 100 percent satisfied with this book!!! almost? why almost you asked? well T v T i was hoping there would be a lot more new illustrations in this book and i thought the size would be a tad bigger. but since the overall looked amazing~ i forgot about all the imperfections~ I AM SATISFIED!!!! nakamura asumiko is LOVE!

currently sitting in front of my computer (duh) gray sky, light rain and soft cold breeze blowing on my face & listening to relaxing song. life can't get any better than this T v T

went out shopping the other day, didn't really get anything much OTL cept for 3 pair of jeans & 1 cute bag. and i spent whole day walking around too OTL life is hard when you are picky OTL tho i really love that bag i bought hahaha XD

yeaahh. there goes my money OTL also bought Red Cliff 1 & 2 collectors set (눈ㅂ눈) and also Zee Avi's new album Ghost Bird. twas a close call between Zee Avi & the king's speech (or something) but yeah, that shop suddenly went & play Zee Avi's album, couldn't help myself trolololol XD damage done = 160+ (including the bag)

OH GOD OTL i am like 234567890987654345678 years too late for this!! but i just GOT to blog it! ...... for future purposes LOL my FOREVER favorite series! finally i owned something by Yuki Urushibara!! friggin ecstatic!!! i don't often buy mangas, and my manga-i-have-to-buy-even-if-i-die list is very very short (so far only 3 titles on the list LOLOL) i always saw this book on the bookshelf in Kinokuniya, but really had a hard time thinking whether i should seriously own it or not! AND I FINALLY GOT IT hahahha OTL i don't even...

even though Mushishi was out like centuries ago, it is still one of the best out there. IT IS NEVER TO LATE TO COLLECT!!!!

8,D MY BOOK ARRIVED TODAY!!! what a pleasant surprise!! totally didn't expect it to come today! Kinokuniya really weren't kidding with that "2 working days" statement LOL

everything arrived in 90-95% good shape. my outer jacket is a bit wrinkled and my mom's vampire diaries box set cover has a slight tear at the bottom. but all is well. if only the shipping price is not so friggin expensive 8,D i'd be ordering books from kino everytime pfftttt

I remember during college years, everytime, everytime i see this book on the shelf in the library, i was tempted to snuck it out of the library tsk. so finally i owned it. twas a close call (ok maybe not) between shigenori soejima's artwork and this, but i decided i need more landscape sort of books than characters. so yes. i am satisfied! just 1 thing tho, if only the size of this book is as big as kazuaki's artwork T v T it'll be even more ossum. oh well!!! managed to flip through the book (*swoons*) so a bit of pictures! i know there are TONS of websites featuring this lovely artbook with fantastic reviews, but for my own record, i'm still gonna post some pictures up 8D but not gonna do any reviews since a lot of other web has done it before. so google it! LOL

personal favorite piece so far. fell in love with this classroom hallway in late afternoon picture. feel so, melancholy for some reason 8,D i wanna be in this scene.

even though he uses reference from real pictures to create his work, he added his own godly touch that makes the entire book even more... nnggghhh... GODLY LOL his color sense is really good 8,D wish i could have a good color sense as him too!!!!!! i shall work harder!! -THUMB-

size is abt the same with tekkon kinkreet artbook O v Q aahh to have 2 godly talented masters' books, i hope their talent will rub on me just a little bit LOL

procrastination entry

running away from work OTL i don't feel like moving at all haha. My uni life is starting soon T___T i hv to cherish what time i have left sobs! i am nervous, yet excited at the same time! 8,D i'll be staying in the dorm for 1 semester (or was it 1st year) i wonder if they have water heater in the bathroom T____T do i have to join pointless activities then? -sigh- can't i just... study get back to my room, do something useful (well something useful in my p.o.v LOL i'm scared my uni timetable will crash with the AFA date!!! damn!!! TAT i am sad.

WELL!! on other note (sigh-ing forever) my friend Michi got me another book from Kinokuniya!! (she so nice, i wanna cry my eyeballs out 8,D)

MUSHISHI ARTBOOK!!!! GET!!! 8,D by god, i swear i'm gonna do a proper review for this artbook when i get my hands on it!!! i was a bit sad there's not even 1 decent review about this artbook online! TAT i've found 2 website that actually did some review, but it was so-so and one of it is in some language i could not understand haha.

one of those book that i don't really mind having screenshots from the anime 8,D since the anime itself is GORGEOUS!

and i got myself volume 4 & 5 for mushishi manga too~

was a bit disappointed since the Kinokuniya here won't ever import Sekaiichi Hatsukoi manga anymore TAT because of some "tight security" issue. bulls to this!!!! what we read is our own rights!!!! not like i'm gonna turn rebel or start terrorizing this "peaceful" country (pffftt) after reading some manga. god demmit T____T i was very sad!! and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi really have good romantic plot to it too TAT just my type of story man.

when my friend sms-ed me and told me about the news and asked me what else should she get for me then; i went blank. SERIOUSLY BLANK. didn't expect this kind of situation will occur 8,D and it also made me realize even if I read a LOT of mangas, i still am reluctant & super picky when it comes to really investing my money to buy em. So in the end, i just asked her to get me another 2 volumes for mushishi. hahaha. volume 4 is my most favorite cover from the series XD just saying~~ and there's still some leftover money left. Decided to just let her hold on to it. :9

AND I DID THE RIGHT THING BY NOT SPENDING IT ALTOGETHER BUYING RANDOM MANGA!!! because i've found 1 manga that i really want!!! 8,D

after Emma (which i really loved), Kaoru Mori did it again with Otoyomegatari!!! this manga took my breath away!! 8,D the plot, the characters, the story, the setting, the drawings, the lavish & intricate details to each costumes are simply BREATHTAKING! i really salute her! 8,D it really does show how she really love the culture and put A LOT of effort in really learning all details of this tribe's lives and culture. it's gorgeous! 8,D

I AM HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH MUSHISHI!!! & URUSHIBARA YUKI'S WORK!!!! AAAHHH!!!!! i am so in love that i am even blogging about it now!!! OTL and i seldom blog about manga/anime related stuff unless i really really think it is really really worth it. and mushishi.. is WAAAYYY more worth it. i have to say it's a MUST to blog abt it LOL!!

I know it's a rather old anime/manga. but seriously.... it is just.... ARGH!! BEAUTIFUL!!! TAT ALL TIME FAVORITE DEFINITELY!! i mean.. COME ON!!! it won several award for both the animation & manga!!! "Mushishi won an Excellence Prize at the 2003 Japanese Media Arts Festival and the 2006 Kodansha Manga Award." - mangaupdates

I first heard about the series online i think. 3 or 4 years ago. upon watching the 1st episode. i was immediately hooked! why? great great concept!! interesting plot! just-right pace. incredible music. it's mind blowing in my opinion hahaha!

"The story features ubiquitous creatures called Mushi that often display supernatural powers. Mushi are described as beings in touch with the essence of life, far more basic and pure than normal living things. Due to their ethereal nature most humans are incapable of perceiving Mushi and are oblivious to their existence, but there are a few who possess the ability to see and interact with Mushi.

One such person is Ginko (ギンコ), the main character of the series. He employs himself as a Mushi master (蟲師 mushi-shi), traveling from place to place to research Mushi and aid people suffering from problems caused by them. The series is an episodic anthology in which the only common elements among episodes are Ginko and the various types of Mushi. There is no over-arching plotline." - WIKIPEDIA

it has 10 volumes for manga (1st released 1999) and 26 episodes for anime.

the overall art for Mushishi is breathtakingly beautiful. 8,D it's to die for if you ask me LOL just look at this manga cover! it has that ethereal serene feel to it which really gave a bit of a hint/feel on the Mushishi world and it's pulling you into it.

the animation for Mushishi is astounding! i really salute the director & production house. they really did justice in bringing the manga to life. i've compared the 1st chapter from volume 1 of the manga with the 1st episode of the anime, it feels like the manga itself came to life!! the overall mood are portrayed perfectly. all the mushi looked amazing & mysterious. the voice acting are very very well done too!! the soundtracks are beautiful. extremely beautiful. enough said.

if you are still unsure about this animation even after looking at those screen caps... i don't even =_= COME ON!!

i love it how each episode has a different and rather deep message that you will understand even better if you really put yourself in the characters shoes. it somehow really made me think more about life itself. that is how good it is.

i really love the moderate, almost slow paced of the overall animation/story. instead of making me feel bored, it did the exact opposite. i can feel myself being drawn into the beautiful story and wished to be part of it myself.

i really love the fact that Ginko, has a rather... normal, laidback-ish personality. XD i think i'll love him less if he had those cool or cold type of personality. he's calm, friendly & easy to like XD i anticipate the moment where he goes "yo" at strangers or people he knew. i love the way he handle things. i really am hopelessly in love with him T v T

SERIOUSLY? i'll rate it INFINITY out of 10 LOL it's one of the best anime/manga/story i have ever laid my eyes upon & i am a very picky human being when it comes to good animation. IT IS A MUST TO WATCH!!!!!!!

did you know that Mushishi has a DS game?!! i just discovered it last night and i was ecstatic!!!!! XD even if it was out centuries ago! LOOOLL ALAS! there is no English version for this T_T imagine my frustration playing. i could understand easy parts, but when it comes to the kanji ... OTL i gv up. but i am still giving it a go tho. -sigh- 1 more great game i won't be able to enjoy fully. WHY??!!!! somebody need to do english patch for this. like seriously.

OMFG!!!! finally the last item that i purchased arrived todaaaaayyyy!!!!!!! I AM POSSIBLY THE MOST HAPPY PERSON THAT HAVE EVER ROAMED THE EARTH TODAY!!! ASDFGHJKJHGF!!!!

1st thing that I bought was Professor Layton & the Unwound Future. 8,D my love for professor layton/luke & puzzles are unparalleled LOL ok i am exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea. :E it was a tough decision to make since from the start, i've been targeting Okamiden even before it was released. and not to mention the sole purpose of me buying a DS is because of okamiden. TvT i guess in the end, professor layton won the fight. hahaha. I could play professor layton over & over again!! believe me. 8,D

and this would be my 1st ever purchase online from Play-Asia I am a satisfied customer 8,D

to be honest, i'm not even a Kazuaki fan till early last month pffftttt I rmmbred a friend showed me her artworks before (starry sky), but didn't really interest me much i guess. but one day, i saw some dude on tumblr posted Kazuaki's stuff, and i was hooked 8,D and so I bought this HAHAHA!! her stuff is sooooo my thing!

I really wanna thank my friend who bought this for me from across the sea. TvT I was quite worried about the delivery but i guess everything turned out ok in the end. not even a single scratch to the book!! it arrived in perfect condition!!!!!!! so lucky to be having this because my friend's sister is working at Kinokuniya & she can get employee discount!!! TALK ABOUT LUCK!! OMG!!!!! 8,D

the waiting is the worst part. even my sister & niece noticed my head will turn out the window every few seconds to see whether the postman has arrived or not pfffttt. it came to the point where i wanted to shout at all those unrelated cars that passed by to use a different road instead!!! PFFFTTTT so now, i shall be in peace -inhale, exhale-
